Amazon Ipê Restoration

Located in one of the world’s most threatened ecosystems, the project aims to convert cattle land to native forest within an area known as the “Amazon Arc of Deforestation.” The initiative prioritizes best-in-class ecological restoration by planting 80+ different native species and promoting the reintroduction of rare, endemic, and endangered species. Leading project developer re.green has full control over land management, and implementation is already underway, demonstrating the project’s capacity and expertise.

re.green: restoring tropical forests at scale

Pachama has joined forces with re.green, a Brazilian-based reforestation company dedicated to restoring millions of hectares of degraded land in the Amazon and Atlantic Forests.

Founded by one of Brazil’s leading scientists (Bernard Strassburg), alongside the country’s most experienced restoration leaders (Ricardo Rodrigues), re.green has already acquired and begun restoration on 26,000 hectares, with over 3 million seedlings planted and 2 million hectares analyzed in pipeline.
