  • Technical Carbon Operations Lead (Remote)

    Business & Operations / Full-time

    The Role:
    Pachama is looking for a Technical Carbon Operations Lead to help develop new forest carbon projects and provide technical diligence and support for partner developed projects. In this role you’ll be responsible, alongside our Origination Operations team, for executing the quantitative and geospatial analysis tasks necessary for successfully implementing projects and optimizing the design of new projects to ensure high quality and accurate carbon accounting. You will lead the execution of various field data collection efforts, geospatial analyses, calculation of carbon benefits, and other tasks necessary to ensure compliance with applicable methodologies and validation/verification standards.

    You would be excited about this role if you love the idea of rolling up your sleeves and using your deep technical and scientific background in an applied role that achieves on-the-ground outcomes. You have a demonstrated interest in climate tech, experience implementing or verifying forest carbon projects, exceptional quantitative and geospatial analytical skills, and a hunger for impact.

    Location: This role is fully remote. However a location in the US, Mexico or Brazil is preferred given that some travel to project sites will be required. Experience working in Brazil and other parts of Latin America is a plus.

  • Staff Geospatial Data Engineer (Remote)

    Engineering / Full-time

    About the Role:
    We are looking for a Staff Data Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge data systems backing our products for our mission to restore and protect the planet's forests. As a leader on the DMRV (Digital measurement, reporting, and verification) team, you will build, scale and deploy systems for ingesting, storing and computing the data powering our AI and Remote Sensing insights and are responsible for delivering those data insights to our customers to enable them to identify and originate the highest quality nature-based projects.

    A typical day includes collaborating across engineering and science teams to understand new dataset ingest pathways for model or algorithm features, writing code to support efficient compute and scalable transformation and algorithms to unlock insights over project data, designing systems for easy data access and experimentation pathways, pair coding with other engineers to raise the standards and bar on our technical work, and roadmapping core improvements to our data, compute or measurement stack.

    We're looking for engineers who find joy in the craft of building but live for seeing the end-to-end impact and want to rally engineers around them. Engineers who push forward initiatives by asking great questions, cutting through ambiguity, and organizing to win. Engineers who are relentlessly detail-oriented, methodical in their approach to understanding trade-offs, and place the highest emphasis on building and building quickly.

    Pachama is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to be a key partner to our CEO in shaping the company strategy and execution to advance our mission and build enduring enterprise value. The CFO will shape and drive our financial strategy as we embark on our next phase of growth.

    As CFO, you’ll leverage your financial expertise and experience with high-growth tech startups to guide our company roadmap, execute our capital markets strategy, manage our capital allocation, and consolidate our business model. All while ensuring excellent governance, audibility, and reporting practice.

  • Manager, Strategic Finance & Capital Markets (Remote)

    About the Role:
    Pachama is seeking a strategic operator with a strong FP&A foundation to drive decisions and investor engagement at both the corporate and project level. As a Strategic Finance professional, you will own Pachama’s corporate model and lead a thoughtful data-driven process for corporate planning and business model evolution. You will apply this same muscle to build out more robust Capital Markets and Investor Relations functions. This is an individual contributor role with a high degree of cross-functional collaboration and influence.

    Location: The role is remote within the United States/International. However, you must be within 3 hours of Pacific time given cross-functional and investor communication responsibilities. No regular travel is required or expected.

  • Forest Carbon Science Manager (Remote)

    Science / Full-time

    About the Role:
    Pachama is looking for a Forest Carbon Science Manager to direct the team of forest and spatial scientists who evaluate, design, and provide tools for Pachama’s portfolio of forest carbon projects. The Forest Carbon Science Manager is responsible for defining standards, methods, and processes to implement Pachama’s Quality Standard, which is used to assess the climate, social, and ecological integrity of NBS projects issuing credits for the Voluntary Carbon Market. 

    The Manager will also conduct spatial assessments for carbon projects that use Pachama’s remote sensing tools and analytics. This position reports to the VP of Science. You would be excited about this role if you love the idea of moving fast with a high degree of independence in a growing start-up. You have 7+ years of experience using science for forest conservation, restoration, and management, and expertise in using remote sensing and geospatial data to derive insights about forest dynamics. You understand carbon accounting and are familiar with the major components of the Voluntary Carbon Market.

    You love to problem solve and are comfortable leading cross-functional efforts that require project management, strategic planning, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You enjoy communicating with others and are excited to speak to findings with a variety of team members.

    Location: This role is remote within North American time zones only.
